Netflix has been killing it with original content lately, and today announced that it will be premiering four new animated shows aimed at children to add to its already impressive line-up of programming. From action adventure stories for older kids Kulipari: An Army of Frogs and Edgar Rice Burroughs Tarzan and Jane to Cirque du Soleil Luna Petunia and Puffin Rock for younger viewers.
We couldn’t be more excited to be partnering with such a diverse group of creative talent on these new Netflix series for kids,” says Erik Barmack, Netflix VP of Global Independent Content. “The flexibility of our platform allows us to continually bring the best TV shows from around the world to our members, and these titles compliment and extend what we currently offer particularly for preschoolers and grade school adventure fans.”
Tarzan and Jane will be produced by 41 Entertainment and Avi Arad with animation from ARC Productions, and will follow a sixteen year old Tarzan as he leaves the jungle for a posh London boarding school. A fish out of water who challenges conformity, Tarzan meets Jane, who helps him solve environmental injustice, crimes and mysteries
All eight episodes of Tarzan and Jane will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix in late 2016.
