What began on October 4, 2008, between “The World’s Most Dangerous Man” Ken Shamrock and Kimbo Slice has finally been settled. The two heavyweights met in a Superfight tonight from the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, MO. The co-main event had Patricio Pitbull defend his World Featherweight Title against Daniel Weichel, and Michael Chandler on the comeback trail in his hometown against Derek Campos.
The breakdown of tonight’s fights are as follow:
Lightweight Featured Bout (155 lbs) Derek Campos (15-4-0) vs. Michael Chandler (12-3-0)
Campos in the blue gloves comes out quick and eliminates the feeling out period as he begins his attack with an inside leg kick, but Chandler won’t let up landing a big right hand, knocking Campos to the canvas and pouncing on the ground-and-pound. Campos explodes back to his feet as he is being out boxed by Chandler, who lands huge right hand, driving Campos to the cage who suplexes Campos taking his back and winning via tap out by rear naked choke.

Featherweight Featured Bout (145 lbs) Henry Corrales (12-0-0) vs. Daniel Straus (22-6-0)
Round one is undeway and Corrales lands a low kick leading to Straus to use a double leg by the cage allowing Corrales to cage walk up to his feet. Corrales reverses positions and around one is spent mostly on the cage. Straus turns it around, landing a huge boxing combination knocking Corrales to his knees and eating a knee after getting back to his feet. Corrales’ legs look like spaghetti but refuses to go down.
Round two and They are in the center of the ring, Corrales has been able to catch his breath after that deep guillotine at the end of the first. The pace as slowed, but Corrales is stilling banging it out. He looks gassed, but has his wits. Corrales eats a big uppercut, Straus transitions from ground-and-pound to a rear naked choke and body triangle, but the doesn’t have the choke so he transitions to side mount against the cage and chokes out Corrales out with a guillotine from the top position.

Heavyweight Featured Bout (265 lbs) Dan Charles (9-2-0) vs. Bobby Lashley (12-2-0)
Round one, the fighters touch gloves and Charles instantly throws a front kick which is answered with a double leg take down. Lashley claimed he wanted to keep it standing but so much for that. Charles is quick to his feet as Lashley attempts gets another double leg, forcing Charles against the cage and giving up his back to the wrestler who suplexes him. Lashley is cage control and is landing knees to Charles’ thigh landing another take down. Charles was warned about grabbing the fence before being taken down again. Lashley has been in control the entire first round as he lands another suplex before the round comes to an end.
Round is is underway and the touch gloves again. Lashley blocks a head kick, watches the leg and takes him down. Charles attempts a triangle choke, but Lashley powerbombs him and takes his opponents back. Lashley hasn’t put his hooks in like a jiu-jitsu fighter would but is happy enough to land bombs. Lashley looks like he’s grappling with an old WWF Wrestling Buddy. It appears Charles’ nose may be broken. The referee stops this one as Charles was no longer defending himself.

Featherweight World Championship (145 lbs) Daniel Weichel [Challenger (35-8-0)] vs. Patricio Pitbull [Champion (23-2-0)]
Round one is on and the champion needs to close the distance as he’s FIVE INCHES taller than the champion. The round has been on their feet as the combatants are still in the feeling out stage of the five-five-minute rounds. Weichel lands a take down ending up in Pitbull’s guard, as they are quick to their feet. Weichel rocks the champion with 10 clicks of the clock, flooring the champion as the round comes to an end. Weichel thought he won by knockout but that is not the case.
Round two and their is a mouse under the champion’s left eye. The German looks to be stalking Pitbull. Pitbull counters with a straight right hand, knocking out Weichel with a left hook! This was a fight!

Catchweight Superfight (240 lbs) Ken Shamrock (28-15-2) vs. Kimbo Slice (4-2-0)
The Superfight is on! Ken Shamrock dug back into his WWF days and walked out to the cage with none other than Road Warrior Animal! It’s three-five-minute rounds as Shamrock makes his Bellator debut against his hated rival Kimbo Slice, who out weighed him by 30 lbs. What was unfinished business for 8 years will now close the contracts as the fight is underway.
Shamrock hits an outside trip on Kimbo but has a hard time keeping down as Shamrock looks for wrist control and throws a knee to his head. Shamrock takes Kimbo down with a single leg, takes the back and Shamrock is looking to finish with a rear naked choke. Kimbo is refuses to tap, gets back to his feet and drops Shamrock with punches, where Shamrock did not want to be as Big John McCarthy calls this one.
