There’s always hope, I suppose. Or at least that’s the attitude that video game fans have to express every single time one of their beloved video games is gearing up for the silver screen. The next imminent adaptation will be Assassin’s Creed, which stars Michael Fassbender as Callum Lynch in the film directed by Justin Kurzel. Of course, Assassin’s Creed is still over a year away, but today Yahoo! Movies has unveiled the first look at Fassbender in his costume, and it does look fairly accurate. Fassbender, who is also serving as producer, will co-star alongside Oscar-winner Marion Cotillard in the video game movie — so it’s safe to say that Assassin’s Creed has a high-caliber roster of actors unlike much of its video game adaptation brethren. Feel free to get excited, but don’t get too excited, as Assassin’s Creed won’t hit theaters until December 21st, 2016.
